A rope is lowered down to him
(all demolished in 2004) to support workers at a nearby military radar base that operated in the 1950s and 1960s. The first season was engaging, a pretty creative premise that showed a lot of assumptions. But by season three, you start to feel like it’s being dragged along for no particular reason.
The new elements aren’t even interesting
Season 3 was basically 8 hours of boring drama and 10 minutes of new plot elements. They’re just there to add to the queue of unanswered plot lines. To make matters worse, the dialogue seems to have been reduced to simple vowels. It’s simply there to fill time while the show searches for space.
The show suffers from the same problem as The Walking Dead, repeating and recycling the same storylines until they become completely ineffective
Now that the main characters have acclimated to their environment, they walk freely and even regularly interact with “ghouls.” The terrifying monsters no longer add any tension, instead feeling like a sideshow, abandoned since the circus left town.
